“Even the first glance at the stage shows where the journey is heading. An oversized Rubik’s Cube stands in the middle, one of those toys that nearly drove a whole generation mad in the 80s. It is movable and hinged. Behind its surface, the spectators look into nine playable rooms on three floors. They are sometimes a flat, sometimes a pub, they are living space for the three families and workplace for the six-piece band that provides the great sound in the background. There is life everywhere. Sometimes so much that the viewer doesn't know where to look. It's an impressive set.”

... Besides the actors, there are other highlights to admire in "I want fun". The stage design deserves special mention. Christoph Weyers created a huge, hinged cube in the "Rubik's Cube design" of the 80s. This cube can be rotated and opened in several directions and enables the performance to take place on three levels. Due to the constant changes of the cube, the observer hardly notices that the scene changes were staged without ideas at times, which can be understood as praise for the set designer...
