...The director Hans Holzbecher, who embodied Jekyll himself in the Cologne production, has given the musical a new setting here in Bozen. There are side structures with which the stage set can quickly and effectively transform from a street scene into the interior of Jekyll's house or into his laboratory. Here, a small laboratory with flasks and test tubes, i.e. "old-fashioned", is supported by modern video technology on a screen at the back of the stage. The wonderful stage design, simple but effective, was created by Christoph Weyers...
