...The director invited his trusted collaborators to be involved in the production. A stage set of impressive simple design with many windows for admirers of the famous Guido, created by Christoph Weyers. The set designs are also much more functional than those seen in the overwrought film version of the same name.

Musical Nine a brilliant show about scepticism
...One great aspect that draws the audience into the production is the visual scenic adaptation by Christoph Weyers. The back stage consists of 24 boxes in which the fateful Contini women stand over three floors. It is a spectacularly impressive image! Above the head of the protagonist, the red-haired ladies actually create a mosaic of the female universe that constantly fills his mind. It is also a successful scenographic solution for the story’s own material, which at times translates the hero’s memories of the past and recent times into reality. The audience often follows the parallel functioning of reality and heroic imaginings in some of the protagonist’s waking dreams. Guido Contini can for example talk to his mother, who nudges him from above with a kind of illuminated divine eye, or his attractive lover Carl can entice him to talk to his wife Luisa. Weyers uses his fantasy images not only for the effective displacement of women on this great astronomical live clock, but also works with shadowy female silhouettes and with lights and projections that immediately immerse you in the scenes...
